At Optimal Tutors, the 11 Plus entrance examinations  for independent and grammar  schools  is one of our areas of expertise . The exams usually use a combination of Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and English papers to test students.

There are two main types of paper which students may have to deal with. There is the 'standard' which  means students work out their answers and write them directly next to the questions in each paper. The second is 'multiple choice' and as the name indicates, students work out their answers and then mark one choice - usually from 5 options - on an answer paper. It is important to find out which type of paper the school or area in which you are interested operates so your child can prepare in the best way.
