University Re-sits

At Optimal Tutors, we provide tutoring for university re-sits for students who need to retake one or more modules. Formally, when a student fails a module, then the university requires a re-sit. This may involve all or only part of the assessment. In any event, if an examination has to be re-sat, then the format of the re-sit usually follows that of the original examination, but this is not mandatory. In some cases, the re-sit necessarily must be in a different format e.g. practical examinations which cannot be organised in August; it is left to the Board of Studies to authorise the form that such re-sits should take..

Our tutors who teach university re-sit students are mostly either university lecturers themselves or PhD researchers with in-depth subject knowledge. Tuition sessions can take place at our tuition centres, home of the students or an agreed location between the tutor and the student.

What we expect re-sits students to have:-

  • Course syllabus or scheme of work

  • Course notes, and hand-outs provided by the lecturer

  • Past papers and past class exercises if available

  • Feedback from the lecturer about the failed module if you have the information.
