School Experience:

The last student I tutored for her English started off getting Cs, but with my help she ended up achieving two A*s, both at 100%. I also taught English as a second language in a school in North India in 2012, working with children aged seven to seventeen. The experience was great and I had very good results, with the children becoming much more fluent in their spoken English. I also ran a class teaching the children's mothers how to speak English, which was also a success and saw the women becoming much more confident and gaining a bigger English vocabulary.

Teaching Style:

Very patient and encouraging, especially with less confident students. My goal is to give the tutee the same confidence that I got from excellent teaching; I believe no one should be ashamed of saying they don't understand something, and I will always give attention to any part of the curriculum the tutee is struggling with. My focus is on helping the tutee get the best grade possible through increasing their confidence and understanding of the subject. I particularly specialise in helping students to know how to present answers to exam questions.

About Me:

I'm a B.A graduate from SOAS university in London with a 2:1 degree classification. I've had great experiences with tutoring with a 5/5 rating from previous students. I work with any age from 11 up to 18, specialising in English language and literature (my A-levels include English Literature at A*). I'm friendly, hardworking and reliable. I have great communication skills, and would even enjoy working with a pupil who speaks English as a second language.
