School Experience:

I have been teaching in Manchester for the past 2 years. During this time I have worked with pupils of a wide range of ability, from BTEC Science to pupils achieving A* at GCSE. I am confident in all areas of the Science curriculum and

As previously stated, I completed my Secondary Science Post Graduate Certificate in Education back in 2012, for which I received the highest possible grade. I worked in two very different school within the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire area and worked with pupils of all abilities.

Teaching Style:

I had to work exceptionally hard to achieve the grades I achieved during my time in education and this had led me to greatly understand that not everyone finds science easy. I am willing to go right back to basics with my pupils to deal with lower level misconceptions or misunderstandings to bring about a full and complete understanding of the topics you may be struggling with.

I feel my strong points would lie with aiding in exam revision or revising topics which you may have already covered in school and found challenging. I may be able to bring an alternative way of looking at the topic than your current teacher.

About Me:

Ever since I was young I knew that teaching was my passion when I began working as a swimming teachers assistant at my local swimming baths. I later went on to complete the qualification myself and am now a qualified swimming teacher.

Since then I have had a great time studying my field further at university and taking the necessary steps to achieve my goal of becoming a teacher. I completed a PGCE course and gained Qualified Teacher Status last June.

I am friendly, relaxed and approachable and I aim to produce a learning environment where you feel you are able to discuss which areas you may be struggling with, without feeling embarrassed about it.
