Teaching Style:

Students should be engaged through material that they enjoy, and methods that suit them. In preparing for exams I would always endeavour to equip students with the tools they need to revise effectively on their own, and get to know what learning methods suit them best. I believe all students can write compelling and engaging prose, and that helping a student realise their essay style and writing potential is an important part of teaching the Arts subjects. I love the subjects that I teach and believe that teaching is done through experience: I would bring my own experiences of higher education literature and performance to any student I was working with. I love to dance and do yoga, and teach dance in my spare time. I also write creatively! I recently completed my first play with the Chosen Words program for Theatre by Numbers, and last year I was long-listed for the extremely competitive BBC writersroom.
