School Experience:

I have combined teaching with studies and research for the past 15 years. I have taught at Secondary School back in my country as part of my National Service. Since then i have devoted my time in providing personal tutoring to friends and family who are in need of my service. I have also vast experince in research work around health effects of indoor air pollutants and the urban health problems as its affects the changing face of the built environment. I have written a large number of peered reviewed and conference papers.

 

 

Teaching Style:

I always believe in trust building between myself and the tutee as the first recipe to gaining where the strength and weakness of my client lies. So doing, i am able to direct my tutoring strategy towards helping to build the weakness identified while helping to make the best use of the identified strength. Confidence building is another approach which i adopt. Experience has taught me that building confidence in individuals tend to take away any form of fear, anxiety or lack of interest to approach study. Depending on individual, my first contact is with the tutee is centered around identifying the best way to identify the possible approach to builing confidence. I utilise written and spoken formative feedback in my tutroing approach to help the learner understand where efforts are needed.

 

 

 

About Me:

At present i am Lecturer at Mancehster Metropolitan University. My Teaching revolve around Environmental Management. 
I had my first degree in Nigeria, thereafter i enrolled for my Master's degree programme at the Robert Gordon University and my PhD at Glasgow Caledonian University. I have completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice and gain the fellow status by the Higher Education Academy.
