School Experience:

Prior to starting the PGCE course, I have taught for 12 years in the mechanical engineering department of a polytechnic in Africa. I have also spent a few days at a number of local secondary schools in Birmingham, observing and helping children of different abilities in science lessons. This has been an eye opening experience and has really driven my pursuit of teaching at secondary school level as a vocation, having taught previously at post 16 levels in Africa

 

 

Teaching Style:

I thoroughly enjoy being in the classroom with so many interesting and diverse characters and felt at ease trying to help them with their questions and confusion. I have also learnt that each child is unique, and different teaching styles need to be adopted for different learning styles.

 

 

 

About Me:

I am a Qualified Teacher of science with Physics as a specialist subject at KS3 and KS4 with experience of teaching Physics at KS5. I am also a graduate from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 1998 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Birmingham City University in 2012, MSc Project management, Keele University in 2013, Subject knowledge Enhancement (SKE) Course in Science with Physics and have just completed my teacher training course with QTS and PGCE in Secondary Science, Physics specialism.
