School Experience:

I have extensive experience from my previous jobs. In particular my positions at Salford City Council and Salford College I taught Art to ex offender learners at The Together Women's Project and Thomas Project. In my position at Salford College, I also taught art to mature students, within the community. Subjects included painting and drawing, card making and glass painting courses. I devised, developed and evaluated a broad range of suitable teaching activities for each of the courses. I also measured and evaluated learning outcomes, and undertook individual assessments giving constructive feedback to students. I am also able to support, mentor and motivate adult students with a broad range of learning needs. At the end of a lesson I make a self evaluation of how the lesson went, and make action points for future sessions on my lesson plan. This helps me to monitor and assess the learning that has taken place so I can improve the learning experiences for them.

About Me:

I am passionate about art and work independently as a fine artist, I was part of a professional studio group of artists called MASA artist studios, based in Salford. I continually strive to develop my own work as a painter. I feel I could pass on my own passion for art to help others to develop their own passion for the subject
